1.\u00a0The purpose of this policy is to advise and provide guidance to the Wauzhushk Onigum Foundation Directors (hereinafter called \u201cThe Foundation\u201d) in fulfilling the Foundation\u2019s charitable giving activities in compliance with \u201cA Law Respecting the Wauzhushk Onigum Foundation\u201d amended November 15, 2011 and specifically clause # 24 on page 6.<\/p>\n
More specifically, this policy will:<\/p>\n
1.1.\u00a0Set out the expectations for, and accountability standards of the Foundation in the administration and allocation of funds.<\/p>\n
1.2.\u00a0Describe criteria and processes for the Foundation to follow in assessing applicants and deciding on the allocation of charitable funds.<\/p>\n
1.3.\u00a0Describe criteria and processes for eligible applicants in accessing Foundation funds including responsibilities in relation to receipt of funds.<\/p>\n
1.4.\u00a0Provide guidance to the Foundation in its reporting requirements to the Wauzhushk Onigum Gaming Commission as required by the \u201cLaw Respecting the Wauzhushk Onigum Foundation\u201d and other applicable laws.<\/p>\n
1.5.\u00a0Clarify the roles of Chief and Council and the Foundation in the context of the disbursement of charitable gaming monies provided to the Foundation through the operation of the Golden Eagle Bingo Hall to the Wauzhushk Onigum Community as a whole.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
