12.\u00a0There are certain activities and requests that the Foundation does not fund due to funding realities or due to the nature of activities that may put the Foundation\u2019s funding, volunteers, staff or reputation at risk.\u00a0\u00a0 As a measure to mitigate risk, the Foundation, in addition to those types of requests already mentioned in this policy, will not fund the following:<\/p>\n
12.1.\u00a0any request that does not follow the criteria for request as set out in this policy;<\/p>\n
12.2.\u00a0emergency assistance other than those set out above at 11.2.7 of this policy;<\/p>\n
12.3.\u00a0phone bills;<\/p>\n
12.4.\u00a0car repairs;<\/p>\n
12.5.\u00a0financing of budget deficits or bridge financing;<\/p>\n
12.6.\u00a0large scale capital projects, or costs related to community infrastructure except as set out at 11.5 of this policy;<\/p>\n
12.7.\u00a0Wauzhushk Onigum Nation businesses;<\/p>\n
12.8.\u00a0trips and tours of adults;<\/p>\n
12.9.\u00a0travel or accommodation costs related to adult sports and recreation;<\/p>\n
12.10.\u00a0registration or sponsorship of golf tournaments;<\/p>\n
12.11.\u00a0any applications received after the event;<\/p>\n
12.12.\u00a0generic requests that may have been sent to various organizations (for example \u201cto whom it may concern\u201d letters)<\/p>\n
12.13.\u00a0research projects;<\/p>\n
12.14.\u00a0operation costs, including salaries, and administrative costs for businesses;<\/p>\n
12.15.\u00a0any type of request or application that pertains to any political party or candidate, or any type of request or application that is political in nature, including any requests made by Chief and Council, on behalf of Chief and Council or made through Chief and Council;<\/p>\n
12.16.\u00a0any type of request or application that does not follow Foundation application process, with exception of emergency assistance;
\n12.17.\u00a0any event that promotes gaming or gambling to those under the age of 19 years;<\/p>\n
12.18.\u00a0staff appreciation and retirement activities; or<\/p>\n
