{"id":132,"date":"2015-05-27T13:26:56","date_gmt":"2015-05-27T13:26:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/?page_id=132"},"modified":"2018-08-02T15:42:27","modified_gmt":"2018-08-02T15:42:27","slug":"foundation-communications-transparency-accountability","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/?page_id=132","title":{"rendered":"Foundation Communications, Transparency &#038; Accountability"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Foundation Communications, Transparency and Accountability<\/h3>\n<p>54.\u00a0In order to provide the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation community with information regarding the operation of the Foundation, the Foundation will regularly communicate with the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation community to ensure:<\/p>\n<p>54.1.\u00a0the community and membership of Wauzhushk Onigum Nation knows the role of the Foundation and how it benefits the community;<\/p>\n<p>54.2.\u00a0eligible applicants have a clear understanding of the process of applying for Foundation funds and fundable activities; and<\/p>\n<p>54.3.\u00a0individuals and groups understand the high demand and limitation of financial resources.<\/p>\n<p>55.\u00a0The Foundation will carry-out the goals as set out in section 55 of this policy by:<\/p>\n<p>55.1.\u00a0producing and distributing Funding Guidelines that clearly identify fundable and non-fundable items\/activities;<\/p>\n<p>55.2.\u00a0the Foundation reserves the right to announce recipient names, funded activity and amount of assistance as it is permitted under our legislative regulations;<\/p>\n<p>55.3.\u00a0including the following statement within funding guidelines<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">\u201cDue to high demand for funds and limited financial resources Wauzhushk Onigum Foundation is unable to support all projects, no matter how worthy.\u00a0 Meeting the funding criteria does not in itself guarantee approval for Foundation funds.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>56.4\u00a0produce an Annual Report for submission to the Wauzhushk Onigum Gaming Commission and review and approval by Chief and Council, with a distribution to membership upon such approval.<\/p>\n<p>56.5\u00a0The Annual Report set out in section 56.4 of this policy will include:<\/p>\n<p>56.5.1\u00a0Funds Received and allocated;<\/p>\n<p>56.5.2\u00a0The Distribution of Funds according to:<\/p>\n<p>a)\u00a0Relief of Poverty;<\/p>\n<p>b)\u00a0Advancement of Education;<\/p>\n<p>c)\u00a0Advancement of Culture and Heritage; and<\/p>\n<p>d)\u00a0Other Purposes Beneficial to the Community;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>56.5.3\u00a0Applicants and Projects Funded;<\/p>\n<p>56.5.4\u00a0Annual Highlights;<\/p>\n<p>56.5.5\u00a0Annual Challenges; and<\/p>\n<p>56.5.6\u00a0Future Year Recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>56.6\u00a0It is the right of the Foundation to if so desired, to publish names, reasons and number of requests granted for assistance.\u00a0 (Amount of individual assistance will not be published).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foundation Communications, Transparency and Accountability 54.\u00a0In order to provide the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation community with information regarding the operation of the Foundation, the Foundation will regularly communicate with the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation community to ensure: 54.1.\u00a0the community and membership of&hellip; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-132","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/132","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=132"}],"version-history":[{"count":5,"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/132\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":213,"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/132\/revisions\/213"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.wonfoundation.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=132"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
